Aoife Griffin

Having been in legal practice for over 10 years, in New Zealand then in Hong Kong, Aoife has extensive experience advising on all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, child custody, wardship, domestic violence injunctions and financial applications.  Aoife brings with her previous experience in the areas of human rights, immigration and criminal law, which combined with her family law experience, set her aside from other family law practitioners. 

In-keeping with CRB’s collaborative and integrated approach to family law, Aoife is focused on assisting clients resolve disputes as amicably and efficiently as possible.  She thrives in strategising and exploring appropriate dispute resolution options, especially when children are involved.

Prior to joining CRB, Aoife worked at a prominent human rights firm in Hong Kong, playing an instrumental role in a number of landmark cases, with a particular focus on same-sex rights.  

Aoife is dual qualified, admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand in 2009 as well as a Solicitor in Hong Kong since 2019.  She is a member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association and was awarded the Law Society’s Gold Pro Bono Award in 2019 in recognition of her contribution to pro bono and community services in Hong Kong.
