Jain Ruskin Brown

Jain Brown is a family law specialist dedicated to providing positive outcomes for her clients. With extensive and wide-ranging legal experience, including contentious financial cases and matters relating to children, both involving multiple jurisdictions, Jain has established herself as one of the leading family law practitioners in Hong Kong.

Jain has practised Collaborative Law since having trained to do so in 2010. She is an accredited HKMAAL Family Mediator and a trained Parenting Coordinator. Together with Winnie, Jain is trained in child inclusive mediation. With Jain acting as the mediator and Winnie acting as the child consultant, they can offer child inclusive mediation in-house.

Called to the Bar in 1994, Jain practised as a barrister in England and Wales before moving to Hong Kong and joining a well known Matrimonial Law firm in 1999 in the same month as Winnie joined as a trainee, and has worked alongside Winnie since that time. Jain requalified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2005.

Jain is an Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong Collaborative Practice Group and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Jain is a member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association, currently serving as the Association's Treasurer on its Executive Committee. Jain is also appointed by the Chief Justice to sit on the Family Proceedings Court Users Committee, having served for the previous four years on the Committee's predecessor, the Family Court Users Committee. Jain is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers

Jain co-authored “Family Law and Practice in Hong Kong", published in 2011, now in its 3rd edition 2019, having co-written the chapter on nuptial agreements, and has reported cases for the Hong Kong Family Law Reports.

Jain is recognised by Chambers & Partners as a ranked solicitor and named a leading solicitor by Doyle's Guide.
