“Championing Children’s Rights: CRB at the Forefront of HKCCR Conference”
CRB wishes to congratulate the Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights (HKCCR) on their successful conference series, which commenced on 5 July 2024.
The Conference brought together an array of speakers giving insightful and thought-provoking presentations on the need for better protection for children in Hong Kong; issues ranging from child abuse (including physical, psychological, sexual, neglect, and corporal punishment), and the far-reaching harm caused by forced marriages. The conference series will continue on 11 July 2024 with the review of Hong Kong’s progress in following the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, with further discussions on childcare services, parental responsibilities, adoption, illicit movement and retention of children, and recovery of child maintenance.
CRB was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of our support for this landmark event. As a proud sponsor, our partner Winnie Chow attended as a CRB representative, and as a long-standing supporter of children’s rights.
CRB remains resolute in its efforts to raise awareness of children and family issues, the support of children’s rights and ways of improving the practice of family law in Hong Kong.
